About
For the last 7 years I've been working in the Health and Nutrition field, primarily helping people with their weight management, but in truth I have a passion about nutrition in general as I know how it can affect one's health. 7 years ago I was an extremely overweight, severely arthritic 55yr old , most often found in a wheelchair, and now I am a fit and healthy, energised 62yr old who finally had an operation on her hip, has lost nearly 4stone in weight and more importantly kept it off and who has more energy than her grandchildren!
Whilst I can work internationally and nationally, I joined Business in Berkshire because I'm a local resident from Maidenhead and would love to help people locally. So don't feel you have to have been a yo-yo dieter for me to help you, or feel that just because you only need to lose a few lbs that I can't or wouldn't be interested. It could be that you don't need to lose weight at all, you may need to gain weight or just maintain it, or you may want to learn more about nutrition and give your body what it needs, as opposed to what it normally gets, thus avoiding many of the serious and not so serious illnesses and diseases most scientific bodies attribute to eating incorrectly.
You may be one of those who skip breakfast, or if you have anything at all it's almost 100% carbohydrates; you may live on salt, sugar and fat laden buy-out lunches without even realising what they contain or you may come home from work shattered and don't have the energy or the time to cook from fresh products and instead grab a take-away or a ready meal? If any of these situations touch a button - I can help!
Finally, if you eat fantastically well, are a perfect weight and size with a body-fat percentage of between 17-22% but still don't have the energy you would expect, or if you are a sports enthusiast and would like to improve your performance, I can help you too! As I say, I'm on a Mission for Nutrition!

"Mission4Nutrition" commented on Mission4Nutrition's Blog "OMG - it's the 1st December already!".Well thanks for the suggestion but unlike many I know, if I get "pickled" I fall asleep and it would be such a waste to sleep through my first Christmas where I can just relax and do nothing! Perhaps I should consider my New Year campaign to help ...

Mission4Nutrition wrote a new blog: "OMG - it's the 1st December already!".I've deliberately put Christmas on the back burner as I hate it when stores and media start promoting it in late Summer but then suddently I find we are in December and I haven't done a thing. Panic is beginning to settle in and because I'm a busy ...

Mission4Nutrition wrote a new blog: "Who would like to drop a dress size / pants size by Christmas?".For people who seriously want to get into that party frock / dinner jacket by Christmas, I can help. I don't expect most people who will celebrate Christmas and the New Year to LOSE weight over the festive season, but I can certainly help them ...

Mission4Nutrition wrote a new blog: "Will the last shop to leave town please turn off the lights?".Who saw the depressing headline in this week's Maidenhead Advertizer? Including the few years I lived in Cookham, I've lived in Maidenhead for 50 years and to read a headline such as the one above fills me with despair. There have been so many ...

"Mission4Nutrition" commented on Mission4Nutrition's Blog "Childhood Obesity - Child Abuse?".I couldn't agree with you more about the extended family. Taking children into care is traumatic enough for any family and I really do hope the Social Services exhausted every other option. I've spent the last 7 years helping people with their ...

"fishincustard" commented on Mission4Nutrition's Blog "Childhood Obesity - Child Abuse?".I really hope this was absolutely the last resort and they tried to educate the parents and support them all with changing their diet and getting active. It is so hard without knowing the family and I wish their extended family, grandparents or ...

Mission4Nutrition wrote a new blog: "Childhood Obesity - Child Abuse?".You may have read yesterday and seen on the TV that a seriously obese family in Scotland had their 7 children (including a 2-day old baby) taken into care, citing Child Abuse. Is having a family of obese children "child neglect or abuse" ...
